Born in 1909 in Wloclawek, Goldberg became a renowned violinist, concertmaster, and educator. After naturalizing as a U.S. citizen, he taught at Yale and Juilliard and was celebrated for his interpretation of Mozart.

Tovia (Taube) Altman
The wartime heroine, born in 1919, grew up in Wloclawek, became a courier and smuggler for Jewish organizations during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Captured by the Gestapo, she died from severe burns.

Tadeus Reichtein (post)
Tadeus Reichstein, born in 1897, won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1950 for his work on adrenal hormones and cortisone. He lived to 99.
